Windows in our Edu-Glass range
Edu Glass is a comprehensive glazing solution specifically developed for educational environments. The system includes robust, laminated glass profiles for external and internal windows, entrance doors and roof lights, all designed with safety and durability in mind. These profiles can withstand high-traffic areas, such as school corridors, classrooms and common spaces, while maintaining long-term resilience without compromising natural light or aesthetics.
About our glass…
Heres how our window panes are constructed specifically for your buildings:
1. External Laminated Glass
Safety First – The outside layer of the Edu-Glass System uses strong laminated safety glass — the same technology used in car windscreens. If it’s hit by a football or other impact, it will crack but stay in one piece, holding together instead of shattering into dangerous shards. Perfect for high-traffic areas and exposed parts of the building.
2. PVB Interlayer
Extra Strength & Noise Reduction – Between the glass layers is a thin PVB safety layer that acts like a safety net. It holds the glass together if it breaks and helps reduce outside noise, creating quieter classrooms and safer environments for students.
3. Spacer Bar
Stops Heat Loss & Condensation – The spacer bar keeps the panes the correct distance apart and seals the edges so the insulating gas stays in place. Ours are modern, energy-efficient designs that cut heat loss and reduce condensation, meaning fewer maintenance issues over time.
4. Argon Gas Cavity
Better Energy Performance – The gap between the glass panes is filled with argon gas, which is better at keeping heat in than normal air. This helps keep classrooms warm in winter and cooler in summer, lowering your heating bills and creating more comfortable learning spaces.
5. Low-E Coating
Invisible Energy Saver – A special invisible coating on the glass reflects heat back into the building in winter and keeps unwanted heat out in summer. It’s a small detail with a big impact, helping you meet energy efficiency targets and save money.
6. Internal EDU Glass Pane
Strong & Secure – The inside layer can be made from toughened or laminated glass, depending on your needs. It adds strength, safety, and extra insulation, making the Edu-Glass System a complete, high-performance glazing solution for educational buildings.
