Howard Group was dealing with a large broken window that had shattered at their headquarters and needed a fast commercial window repair in Cambridge. The Challenge
Replacing the shattered window was incredibly complex due to the size of the window and the curtain walling system it was a part of. On top of that, the new window had to meet specific building safety and energy efficiency requirements to align with the building’s performance standards. The Solution
Following a detailed site survey, MGC selected toughened safety glass with insulation coatings and argon gas filling. This combination matched the look of the original window while maximising energy efficiency. This was done by enhancing durability, insulation and heat retention – ultimately reducing energy costs.
